Big Fish

Big Fish which is directed by Tim Burton (who is a total genius btw) and it is a story about a man on his death bed who always told tall tales. You get to see the tales in action throughout the movie, with circus people and far away places, and of course a really big fish. I can not say too much about this movie because I do not want to give it away, I am just telling you to watch it. 4 and 1/2 stars out of 5. This movie is excellent.

Anchorman

Will Ferrell is super funny in the comedy movie Anchorman. He plays Ron Burgundy who is a news anchor, who is pretty full of himself and Ron loses his job to a female after an incident with a burrito, and his dog. Enough said right? This movie has a lot of famous quotes like “That’s how I roll” and “I’m kind of a big deal”. Will Ferrell is super funny in this movie, and it is a classic comedy for sure. Every time you watch this movie it gets more and more funny, like most Will Ferrell movies. This movie gets a 4 and 1/2 out of 5!

Disney’s The Little Mermaid

I do not care if this movie was made for children or not, I love Disney’s The Little Mermaid. It is based on the old story of The Little Mermaid, but we already know Disney tells tales like no other. A mermaid falls in love with a human, and she gives up something important to her to become human to make him fall in love with her. The evil sea witch Ursula tries to stop her at all costs from getting him to fall in love with her. There is humor, romance, and action in this cartoon, and it is awesome! If you have never seen The Little Mermaid, make sure to watch it at some point in your life. 4 and 1/2 stars out of 5!

The 10th Kingdom

The 10th kingdom was on television for a couple of weeks, it is a long story that is told over a few hours. I love anything to do with fairy tales, and this movie touched on all of the fairy tales including Snow White, Cinderella, and a few others. A modern family gets lost in this fairy tale land, and has quite an adventure. This is a great movie for any fantasy or fairy tale fan, and you can pick up the DVD brand new for pretty cheap, I got it at Blockbuster for like $12.00. 4 stars out of 5!

Garfield Holiday Adventures

I love all of the Garfield holiday cartoons. They actually put all 3 of these cartoons on one DVD. The DVD contains Garfield Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The Halloween one has to be my favorite, where the ghost pirates come and chase Garfield and Odie around. Garfield is a classic cartoon, and I have to watch these cartoons every year when the holiday season starts!

Face/Off

I loved Face/Off when I was younger, I must have watched it about 20 times. The movies starring John Travolta and Nicholas Cage is about a evil guy and a cop switching faces and therefore switching lives as well. The cop was taking on the face of the bad guy to get into his world and convict some folks when everything went bad. The concept is pretty cool, and the movie is full of action. 3 and 1/2 stars out of 5.

Dogma

I love almost every movie directed by Kevin Smith, with that being said Dogma delivers awesome comedy. Starring the usual cast of Jason Mewes, Kevin Smith, and Jason Lee along with Matt Damon, Christ Rock and Ben Afflick this movie is awesome. Dogma is about 2 angels that were banished from Heaven and they find a loophole, which will destroy all of existence. A crew of people attempt to stop this from happening, and it is a funny trip along the way. This movie is not intended for highly religious people, but for those of us who are somewhere in between. 5 out of 5 stars. This movie has very high re-watch value!
