Field of Dreams

I remember a time when McDonald’s was selling VHS copies of this movie cheap if you bought a value meal or something.  Kevin Costner is obsessed with baseball, and he keeps hearing a voice in his head to build a baseball field.  He listens to the voice, and ghosts of really old baseball players come and play on the field.  Good movie, but kind of creepy at the same time.  Sports fans love this movie, and so do drama lovers.  4 out of 5 stars.

50 First Dates

Besides Billy Madison, 50 First dates has to be in my top like 3 favorite Adam Sandler movies. In this film, Henry falls in love with Lucy (played by Drew Barrymore) but he quickly finds out that Lucy got in an accident which causes her to lose her memory every single night. Basically every day Henry has to make Lucy love him again, so it is really romantic, but there are a lot of funny parts as well. This is a great comedy/romantic film. 5 out of 5 stars for sure!

The Jerk

This is like one of my favorite movies of all time. Steve Martin plays as The Jerk, a white man that was raised by a black family goes out to live on his own, when he suddenly becomes rich, and then poor all over again. In the meantime he falls in love with a girl, and so many funny things happen. He finds his “special purpose” and all kinds of hilarious things. My favorite part of the movie is “He hates these cans!” Steve Martin fans and offbeat comedy fans will love this movie, it is more than a classic! 5 out of 5 stars!

Happy Gilmore

I am a huge Adam Sandler fan, so pretty much most of his movies are going to get a great FD review. Happy Gilmore is a failed hockey player who finds that maybe he would be better off golfing. His rival, Shooter McGavin buys Happy’s grandmother’s house and Happy has to win it back for her. He meets some funny obstacles along the way, including a guy who incessantly yells “jackass” whenever Happy is trying to make a shot. This movie also contains the famous Happy Gilmore vs Bob Barker fight. I recommend this movie to anyone with a weird sense of humor, or Adam Sandler fans in general. 5 stars out of 5!

The 40-Year Old Virgin

It is very uncommon for a man in his 40s to still be a virgin. You imagine a sexually repressed nerd who just really needs to get laid, and Steve Carell as Andy in this movie is what you get. His friends that work with him at an electronic store try to get him to end his dry spell, by taking him on adventures like speed dating, and to a nightclub. This movie is totally hilarious, and Steve Carell really delivers in his role as a virgin. 5 out of 5 stars for sure, and if you have not seen this movie, go watch it right now!

Mean Guns

Mean guns is a Classic from about a decade ago. Christopher Lambert and Ice-T star in this B movie from hell. Basically all of these gangsters, hitmen and sharks get thrown in a jail. There is about 60 and only 3 can make it out alive. All 60 people have screwed over the Syndicate one way or another, whether it was stealing or snitching they all die. It is 90 minutes of death and action and i love it.

Tommy Boy

I am a huge Chris Farley fan, he was my favorite actor and I still miss him! Tommy Boy is a hilarious movie about a man who loses his father, and has to take over the family business, but he has people trying to sabotage him and his partner Richard (played by David Spade). The two guys go on a hilarious road trip to try to sell brake pads to save the company. Tommy and Richard are polar opposites, so you know the entire road trip is funny! This is one of those movies that gets better every time that you watch it! 5 out of 5 stars!

Pitch Black

Pitch Black was Vin Diesels big breakthrough. The movie was insane. Basically he was a convict on transport by a dirty bounty hunter. One thing led to another and they had to truck it across a black planet filled with aliens. They only come out at night and Riddick has some pimp night vision so he leads the way. Had some sexy death scenes and was a cool movie in general.Check it out if you get a chance.

A Christmas Story

The ever famous “You’ll shoot your eye out” line came from this awesome Christmas movie. Ralphie just wants a BB gun for Christmas this year, and everyone around him disagrees that it is a good gift idea. People either love this movie or hate it, I love it! Every year around Christmas time I have to watch this movie to get into the Christmas mood. I have always wanted to put a real size leg lamp in my front window, maybe I will actually do that this year! This is a must watch for any classic comedy fan. 5 out of 5 stars!

Big Fish

Big Fish which is directed by Tim Burton (who is a total genius btw) and it is a story about a man on his death bed who always told tall tales. You get to see the tales in action throughout the movie, with circus people and far away places, and of course a really big fish. I can not say too much about this movie because I do not want to give it away, I am just telling you to watch it. 4 and 1/2 stars out of 5. This movie is excellent.
